I would like to tell you all about a new lounge I had the pleasure of visiting. Robusto Cigars is a very comfortable place to enjoy a fine cigar. Upon entering, you will be welcomed by Sam, Robusto Cigar Shop owner and fellow cigar fanatic. Before I tell you about the lounge, I would like to talk a bit about Sam. If there was ever any question about anything pertaining to cigars or their industry, Sam would be the man to ask. He really blew me away with all his knowledge of fine cigars. Not to mention his great taste in Jazz music! When I asked him what made him decide to open his lounge he stated that it was a "twenty year passion in the making". He went into detail about his love of cigars and how he and his closest friends had always dreamt of having their very own cigar shop to call home.
I was impressed with the environment and creative artwork that surrounds the lounge. The wall of cigar boxes was by far my favorite display. Though Robusto Cigars is a new work in progress, I felt perfectly at home smoking my stogie and enjoying great conversation on the leather chairs strategically placed around an old world globe coffee table. As a cigar lover and also someone who comes from a hard working class family, it brought me such joy to meet someone who followed his passion by working hard to achieve his dream of owning his own cigar haven.
Because I was able to visit Robusto Cigar before their actual grand opening to the public, I was elated to find a modest, but exclusive collection of cigars in the humidor. Sam carries a selection of fine cigars including all Fuente lines, Tatuaje, Gurkha, Davidoff, La Gloria Cubana, Don Carlos, Punch and also some boutique brands like EP Carillo and Salvatano to name a few. Inside the humidor, you can rent a cedar locker to store your own personal collections.
Robusto Cigars also carries a great selection of accessories and lighters to choose from.
Overall I would highly recommend visiting this wonderful lounge. Whether on your way to Santa Anita golf course, or just enjoying an evening out, come check out Robusto Cigars and you just might make a new set of lifelong cigar smoking friends!
