Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinterestMy favorite restaurant to eat and smoke hands down would be Mastro's Steakhouse in Costa Mesa. I would describe the ambiance as "casual elegance". Casual in a sense that you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door, elegant in the attentive staff and top notch menu that awaits you.

The service is second to none, from the friendly hostess and the accommodating knowledgeable waiters, all the way up to the restaurant manager Peter Papagelis, who personally comes out and greets me after every meal. Peter is also a fine cigar enthusiast, Montecristo no. 2 being his top choice. Everything on the menu is delectable. However, my personal favorite would be the bone-in ribeye served medium plus on a 400 degree plate along with the steamed asparagus and caramelized onions. Accompanied of course by a glass of Cabernet Sauvignon from Argentina. Chose from any of the fine wines stored in the marvelous glass staircase display in the center of Mastros.  After dinner head up to the heated outside patio for a glass of perfectly aged cognac paired to perfection with your favorite cigar. All in all my top recommendation for an exquisite night out on the town, a must for any and all fine carnivorous cigar smokers!
