What's better than enjoying a fine cigar you may ask? Enjoying that fine cigar with it's natural pairing...Kentucky Bourbon. Now imagine you are in the heart of Kentucky with all the best Bourbon at your fingertips. The Kentucky Bourbon Affair is a week long celebration of Kentucky's finest distilleries, people and of course Bourbons! Special accommodations at the Marriott Louisville East, with complimentary transportation to distillery tours and events during your stay. Cigars were a newer player this year, as Drew Estate was kind enough to sponsor the Casabourblanca special closing party at a pretty spectacular location. The Casabourblanca was hosted at the Bowman Air Field with a vintage decor and the finest Bourbon from the Kentucky Distillers Association. Live music provided an upscale but laid back atmosphere for the luxurious guests. Throughout the event attendees were able to enjoy unique Bourbons, including a special White Dog Mojito, and special cigar pairing by yours truly with premium Drew Estate cigars. Although the hangar was rather spacious, there were still plenty of guests hanging out inside the Aluminous Cigar Lounge for more intimate conversations with cigar enthusiasts both new and old.
The following day was spent at the famous Waterfront Park in downtown Louisville where polo teams sponsored by Jim Beam, Town Branch, Michters and Heaven Hill played a fun, but competitive match of polo. Guests enjoyed a special catered brunch with the best Bourbons on the market as well as fine Drew Estate cigars. A unique and picturesque view of the Ohio River in the backdrop made this a must attend event!
