What a way to indulge all our senses. One of my "go to" parings is the flavorful San Lotano maduro featuring a beautifully aged San Andres wrapper over a Honduran binder and a blend of fillers from Nicaragua and Honduras. A savory medium body smoke full of sweet cedar, pepper and rich cocoa notes.
Flor de Cana rum comes from the same volcanic soil and tropical climate as the tobacco used in the San Lotano, making the two a natural pair. Without over complicating your palate, the sweet caramel and vanilla notes from the rum help enhance the flavors of the maduro wrapper. I recommend trying out this delicious duo!
